How To: Apply Fake Eyelashes

Your eyes are often the first thing people notice so it’s important to dress them up fabulously. If you weren’t blessed with huge lashes, like me, there’s a perfect solution: false eyelashes. I teach you how to properly pick, cut, glue and apply these beautiful fringes so you can accent those gorgeous eyes! Time to start batting away ;)

Step-by-step instructions to do this on your own!

  1. Step 1 - Types of Falsies

Falsies can be made from natural hair, synthetic materials, or mink. Styles range from natural (short-long-short), to more dramatic (short – long), to very dramatic (dense and full).

    Watch Step
  2. Step 2 - Sizing Your Falsies

Start by positioning the falsies on your eyes to see how they fit your natural lash line.

    Watch Step
  3. Step 3 - Trim Your Falsies

After sizing your falsies, trim the outside edges if needed.

    Watch Step
  4. Step 4 - Lining Your Eyes

Apply your eyeliner starting in the center of your eye and move outwards.

    Watch Step
  5. Step 5 - Curl Your Natural Lashes

Using your eyelash curler, curl your natural lashes into a shape that compliments your falsies.

    Watch Step
  6. Step 6 - Apply Lash Adhesive

Lash adhesive comes in clear, white, and black. When you first start working with falsies, start with a clear adhesive. As you become more confident, you can use a black adhesive (this allows you skip the eye lining process).

    Watch Step
  7. Step 7 - Applying the Falsies

Start by applying a very small amount of adhesive to the falsies. Next, lay the false lash against the bed of your natural lash. Once you have the desired positioning, connect the end of the lashes and finish with the inner corner of your eye.

    Watch Step
  8. Step 8 - Apply Mascara

Finish by applying mascara to blend your natural lashes and falsies.
